  • Handling User Reports: When users report other users on ServEase, we process Personal Information from both parties and Content from the reported party included in these reports to review and address the reported issues. This may involve investigating the reported content or behavior and taking appropriate actions as per our platform's terms and policies. We handle such reports and any personal data contained within them with confidentiality and according to applicable laws and our privacy practices.
  • Notification Services: To provide notifications through ServEase (such as appointment reminders, and updates), we collect and use notification tokens. These tokens are necessary to deliver notifications to your device and are used only for this purpose.
  • Location Access: ServEase relies on accessing your location to function correctly. As a customer, allowing location access is crucial for you to search for and receive services from providers in your area. Your location data helps us to:

    Handling of Location Data: While location access is necessary for the app's operation, we handle this data with utmost care. Your location data is used exclusively for discovering service providers and is not used for tracking or any unrelated purposes. We retain location data only as long as needed for these purposes and ensure compliance with privacy laws and regulations. We do not store your precise geographic location permanently on our servers.

    User Control and Privacy: You have control over your location data. If you prefer, you can manually enter your location (municipality) instead of allowing automatic location access.

  • Communication Information: If you communicate with us, we collect your name, contact information, and the contents of any messages you send (“Communication Information”).

    This section details how ServEase ("we", "us", "our") accesses, uses, stores, and shares user data obtained from Google services when you choose to connect your Google Account to our platform.     Google Sign-In

    If you choose to register or sign in to ServEase using your Google Account, we request access to basic profile information provided by Google.

    Google Calendar and Google Meet Integration (for Service Providers)

    If you are a service provider on our platform, you may choose to connect your Google Calendar to enable seamless booking management and automatic Google Meet link generation.

    Permission Requested: We request the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.events permission scope. This allows our application (acting on your behalf after you grant consent) to view, create, and manage events on calendars you can access.

    Sharing: To add the customer as an attendee to the calendar event, we provide their email address (as entered during booking) to the Google Calendar API.     Compliance with Google Policies

    ServEase's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data obtained via Google APIs is used solely to provide or improve the user-facing features described above (Authentication, Calendar/Meet integration for bookings) and is never used for other purposes, such as transfer for advertising purposes, determining credit-worthiness, or lending purposes.
