We’ll retain your Personal Information for only as long as we need in order to provide our Service to you, or for other legitimate business purposes such as resolving disputes, safety and security reasons, or complying with our legal obligations. This section details how ServEase ("we", "us", "our") accesses, uses, stores, and shares user data obtained from Google services when you choose to connect your Google Account to our platform. Our handling of this data complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
If you choose to register or sign in to ServEase using your Google Account, we request access to basic profile information provided by Google.
How We Use It: This information is used solely to:
How We Store It: Your Google Account ID, name, email, and profile picture URL are stored securely within our user database as part of your ServEase profile.
Sharing: We do not share this personal information obtained via Google Sign-In with external third parties, except as necessary to provide our service (as outlined in this policy) or as required by law.
If you are a service provider on our platform, you may choose to connect your Google Calendar to enable seamless booking management and automatic Google Meet link generation.
Permission Requested: We request the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.events
permission scope. This allows our application (acting on your behalf after you grant consent) to view, create, and manage events on calendars you can access.
Data Accessed & Used:
Data Stored:
Sharing: To add the customer as an attendee to the calendar event, we provide their email address (as entered during booking) to the Google Calendar API. We do not share your Google Refresh Token or other calendar data accessed via this permission with any other third parties, except as required by law or explicitly stated in this policy.
We implement commercially reasonable security measures, including encryption for sensitive data like Google Refresh Tokens, to protect the Google user data we store against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
You can review and manage the permissions granted to ServEase directly via your Google Account settings page: https://myaccount.google.com/permissions. Important: If you revoke ServEase's access directly through your Google Account settings, Google will invalidate the permissions on their end. Any associated Refresh Tokens stored by our application will immediately stop functioning and will no longer allow us to access your Google data, even if the connection is still shown as active within our app settings until refreshed.
This means disconnecting Google Calendar integration within your Google Account settings will prevent any further access to your Google Calendar by our platform, meaning we will no longer be able to automatically create calendar events or generate Google Meet links for your bookings. However, if you decide to re-link your Google Calendar but don't find the option to do so, please contact us at support@servease.me.
Disconnecting Google Sign-In linking within your Google Account settings won't remove the association between your ServEase account and your Google ID in our system, but it will require you to use other login methods or re-link Google Sign-In later.
These disconnection actions within your Google Account Settings manage the connection data stored by us but do not automatically delete your core ServEase account profile.
ServEase's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data obtained via Google APIs is used solely to provide or improve the user-facing features described above (Authentication, Calendar/Meet integration for bookings) and is never used for other purposes, such as transfer for advertising purposes, determining credit-worthiness, or lending purposes.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post an updated version on this page, unless another type of notice is required by applicable law.
